  • Navigation: Trail maps are available online, and group leaders will carry topo maps, compass, and GPS on their person. We will provide a route briefing on Friday night. Everyone is expected to know basic route staying and follow leader instructions.

What to Bring (mandatory items)

  • Camping gear - tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag

  • Sturdy hiking boots with ankle support

  • Layered clothing for variable mountain weather (base, insulating mid-layer, waterproof wind shell)

  • Hat, gloves, and sun protection

  • Weather can change rapidly. Leaders reserve the right to alter the route, turnaround times, or cancel the ridge attempt if conditions are unsafe.

  • No tolerance for substance impairment during hiking or leadership activities.

  • Leave no trace: pack out all trash, respect wildlife, and follow campground rules.

Meals

  • Saturday: bring a full trail lunch and snacks; group dinner back at camp (each campsite responsible for themselves).
